Today’s movie is Gallipoli directed by Peter Weir.

In classic Movie Club fashion, Anna liked this movie and Casey didn’t. Even though Gallipoli does manage to capture the mundane everyday experience of soldiers and the brutality of war, it often undercuts its own emotional impact with odd music choices and direction that sometimes misses the mark.
